Privacy Policy

New Legend Barbershop ("we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit newlegendbarbershop.com, book an appointment or visit the shop, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

• Booking details. When you book online, our booking provider collects your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), the service and barber you choose, your appointment time and any notes you add.
• Contact details. If you call, message us or reach out on social media, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your name, phone number and message.
• Website usage. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running.
• Analytics. We may use tools such as Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are popular. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and collect information in aggregate.

We do not ask for or store payment card details through this website.

How we use your information

• To book, confirm, remind you about, change or cancel your appointments.
• To answer your questions and provide our services.
• To keep notes that help us give you a consistent cut from visit to visit.
• To understand and improve our website and services.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We only use your information for the purposes described here, or for purposes you consent to.

Third-party services

Some features on this website are provided by other companies, which handle your information under their own privacy policies:

• Setmore powers our online booking. When you use the "Book now" button, you are using Setmore's service. See the Setmore privacy policy.
• Google Maps displays our location. See the Google privacy policy.
• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, if enabled, measure website use under the same Google privacy policy.
• Instagram links take you to our Instagram profile, which is governed by Meta's privacy policy.

These providers may store and process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those countries.

Cookies

Our own pages do not need cookies to work. Embedded services such as the booking window, map and analytics tools may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of those services may not work as expected if you do.

Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers described above to run our business, or when required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires, and then delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it (which may affect our ability to book appointments for you). To make a request, contact us using the details below. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children online. Appointments for children should be booked by a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date above.
